Brief History
of The School
Directly managed by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Sri
Amritsar, the school was established in 1985. Since then the school has provided
honest intellect and spontaneous creative awakening through a versatile network
of academics, co-curricular activities, cultural activities sports.
Our mentors at SGPC, Sri Amritsar, the President provides us with benevolent
blessings and ever supporting guidance inspiring our youth to be the best asset of
the nation.
Life at Maharaja Ranjit singh Public Sen.Sec. School centers on a shared
commitment to academic excellence, intellectual growth, art, culture, high
standards of ethical awareness, sportsmanship and community service. One of
the main objective of our school is to ensure the upliftment of the economically
weaker sections of society by providing significant fee concessions and
scholarships to Sikh minority students.

School Events
Independence Day
School organizes a heart throbbing event to pay tribute to the country's freedom fighters. After flag hoisting ceremony, cultural events, skillful activities of Yoga, gymnastics, singing etc are performed. Message of Patriotism is given through well knitted skits.
Parent's Day
The school's decision to celebrate Parents' Day is expected to bring about a positive change in the outlook of the present generation. Parents play an imperative role in the life of every child. They are the child’s support and their best friend.
President's Message
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Public Sen. Sec. School, Tarn-Taran running under the aegis of SHiromani Gurudwara Prabandak Committee is committed to provide quality and holistic education to all the students. The school was founded in 1987 and has grown from young sapling to a giant tree with the efforts of management, faculty, parents and students.
In this school students from the rural and urban background come to learn. Along with academic education it instills moral and ethical values in the students as religious education is part of regular curriculam. Keeping the faculty abreast with modern technology it prepares the student to face the academic and practical challenges of life. The aim of this whole team of school is to develop discipline, school skills, self management and interactive skills in the students.
